Choosing the bag for this route

Delhi and Gurugram corporate cultures vary. Banks, government offices and law firms favour structured suits, sarees and conservative silhouettes. Tech parks in Gurugram and Noida are more relaxed. Pack accordingly: a trouser suit for formal meetings, a dress with a blazer for mixed settings, or a crepe kurta set with a tailored jacket.

Choose shoes you can walk in; Delhi office complexes and Aerocity hotels often mean walking across forecourts and car parks. Block heels or loafers are ideal.

For an evening client dinner in Aerocity or South Delhi, switch to statement earrings and a silk scarf, or carry a slim clutch.

If you are visiting a government ministry or public sector office in Central Delhi, conservative dressing with covered shoulders and closed shoes is a safe choice, and a saree or kurta set is always appropriate. Allow time for security at entry gates, and carry a printed meeting confirmation and a photo ID, which are often requested at reception.

Airport timing and flow
