T-shirt GSM explained in one line: GSM stands for grams per square metre, and it tells you how heavy the fabric is, not how good it is. If GSM is missing, read the reviews and look at customer photos taken in daylight. Words like thin, see-through or transparent point to a light fabric, while thick, heavy and structured suggest a higher weight. Photos of white tees on a person are the most honest test of opacity.

Price is a rough clue but not a guarantee. Basic tees from about ₹299 are usually in the lighter range, while heavyweight oversized tees often start from about ₹599 to ₹799. When in doubt, buy one piece, wash it once, and check how it feels before ordering the same tee in more colours.

Common GSM myths to ignore
