Dandiya is played in pairs and circles, so shorter lehengas or ankle-length chaniyas prevent tripping. Mirror work and gota patti catch the light beautifully.
Decorated dandiya sticks
Choose sturdy wooden sticks wrapped with gota, mirrors or ghungroos. Metal-tipped sticks make that satisfying clack sound but can be heavier.
