The classic: mirror-work chaniya choli
Nothing says Navratri like a flared, Kutchi mirror-work chaniya choli. Look for at least 6–8 metres of flare so the skirt swirls when you spin, and a cotton or rayon lining for comfort.
Budget tip: many chaniya cholis on Amazon come with an unstitched blouse, so order a week ahead to get it tailored.
Sarees for Navratri puja
For morning pujas and office celebrations, a soft silk or Paithani in the colour of the day is elegant and easy to manage. Bandhani and leheriya silk sarees add a festive Gujarati-Rajasthani touch.
Indo-western garba looks
Dhoti pants with a kediyu top, a lehenga skirt with a crop top, or a co-ord set with oxidised jewellery are the Gen-Z way to play garba. They're comfortable, photo-friendly and re-wearable after the festival.
